QuantumTec Product

DeTox 2708

Our Chemical engineering sector developed a product that allows the replacement of typical methods of subsidence of heavy metal from water dilution. This product adsorbs heavy metals in area from pH2=2 to pH2=9, and its generic name is DeTox 2708. By using this product, the costs are lowered, the process is accelerated, operating the leftover subsidence gets more manageable and the product is completely harmless. Its use is possible at already existing facilities, but due to the optimization of costs, there are multiple benefits with individual use. The subsidence is not voluminous after cleaning and it can easily be deposited or modified and adjusted for reuse for other purposes.

A module using DeTox2708 has also been developed. The module is applicable in any metal industry facility, in the industry of metal surface protection.

Category : tertiary treatment.

Purpose : industry, recycling of wastewater, elimination of heavy metals, galvanization

Flow: from 0,5 m3/h to 5 m3/h of standard option and more than 10 m3/h, per request.

Treatment of high efficiency

Technology of adsorption is based on the product that has a possibility of collecting heavy metals on its surface. Particles of heavy metals are being removed from water that goes through filtration material, as well as nitrogen and sulfur compound. There are two main types of modules, categorized by manner of installation: static and mobile.

Efficiency of the filtration mechanism depends on the characteristics of water that is being treated, and the type of metal that the water is saturated with.

How does it work?

Flow of the process goes from receiving tanks to the mixing-tanks, where mixing is performed under the control of automatics, dosage of DeTox 2708, moving to a sedimentation-tank and further through a subsidence-separating segment, after which the water is moving to a recipient.

The main parameters for determining nominal quantities are: operating flow (m3 daily or l per second), as well as pollutant concentration-type (dependent on analysis of water).

Modules usually work with constant flow, so accumulation for unification is always built in previously, in order to avoid upper flows.

Calculation of middle flow is performed on the base of effective work hour, maintenance plan and cycle of regeneration (rinse).  An accumulation tank is needed after modules, especially in the devices for recycling water or processing of industrial wastewater for equalization of output flow and homogenization.

Handling and maintenancee

Handling and maintenance is prescribed for every segment of the module. User manuals were made following security and other regulations. After saturation, DeTox 2708 – which loads on PLC, it gets settled, dries and gets stored in precisely defined bowls.

Vent pipes, PVCs, tubes, pumps, etc. demand periodical control and maintenance.

A by-pass system is advized for extraordinary maintenance and damage.

Advantages and disadvantages

The modular system for processing public and industrial wastewaters is designed for facilities, where heavy metal elimination is necessary. Modules are usually placed after the clarification process, flocculation or physicochemical devices.

During the process, pathogens are not being removed. Hence, an additional sterilization complex is necessary, especially when handling recycling waters.

Modules can operate manually or automatically. Automatic managing and supervision is usually done by a programmable logic controller (PLC) and a microprocessor, combined with a parameter measurer.
